Comparison
Comparing: autonomia360 vs the traditional accountancy firm
We're not here to tell you your accountant is the enemy — in fact, there are certified tax advisors inside autonomia360. The real question is a different one: how much of the service you pay for is knowledge, and how much is moving paper around?

This comparison reflects the launch product (version 1.0). We say so upfront: a comparison is only useful if it's honest.

A traditional accountancy firm usually charges a freelancer €30–100/month (depending on the services and the city) to handle the books and the taxes: you send invoices and receipts, they type them in, calculate the forms and file them. The tax knowledge is real and so is the personal contact; the mechanics — collecting, transcribing, waiting for a reply — belong to another era.
The essentials
Which one suits you?
When autonomia360 makes more sense
- If your business is a typical freelance one (services, direct assessment) and you're paying €40–80/month for work that is mostly mechanical.
- If you hate the end-of-quarter surprise: here you watch VAT and personal income tax (IRPF) build up in real time.
- If you want answers with context: the advisor replying can see your data on the platform, with no forwarded attachments.
- If you want the business side too: quotes, projects, KPIs and payments in one place.
When a traditional accountancy firm is still your best option
- If your situation is complex: several activities, flat-rate assessment, employees, ongoing inspections or complicated assets.
- If you value a personal relationship built over years with someone who knows your case in detail.
- If you don't want to touch software at all, not even to photograph a receipt.
What a good accountancy firm does well
Tax judgement on unusual cases, experience with inspections and information requests, a personal relationship and professional liability. A good advisor who knows your situation is worth paying for, and anyone who has one knows it.
What you pay for without noticing
A good part of the monthly fee pays for mechanical work: typing in your invoices, chasing you for paperwork, putting the forms together. And the way you communicate — emails with attachments, replies days later, surprises at the end of the quarter — often means you find out what you owe when there's no room left to do anything about it.
Our model: platform plus certified tax advisor
We automate the mechanical part (expense OCR, real-time form calculation, calendar and alerts) and keep judgement where it counts: a certified tax advisor reviews and files your forms, and you ask your tax questions from the platform itself. You watch your taxes build up day by day, with no end-of-quarter surprise.
You can also combine the two
If you value your accountant, we're not asking you to break up: export your ledgers and forms and share them. Some people use the platform for the day-to-day and keep their trusted advisor for one-off decisions. Honestly, for many freelancers with complex activity that's a great combination.
The key difference
The mechanical part, automated. The judgement, from a certified tax advisor who can see your numbers on the platform.

Not usually included
An accountancy firm for freelancers usually costs €30–100/month depending on the services and the city (an indicative market range that we review regularly). autonomia360 costs €15–70/month; the Pro plan (€30/month), which includes filing by a certified tax advisor, sits at the low end of that range. If your accountancy firm charges less and you're happy with it, keep it — we mean that.
Verdict
Our honest verdict
If your business is a typical freelance one under direct assessment, autonomia360 gives you what you pay your accountancy firm for — calculation, review and filing by a certified tax advisor, from the Pro plan (€30/month) — at the low end of the usual range, and adds what a firm usually lacks: real time, OCR and business insight.
If your situation is complex (employees, flat-rate assessment, inspections, assets) or you genuinely value the accountant you've had for years, stay with them — or combine the two: export from the platform and share it. We mean it: a good advisor who knows your situation is worth paying for.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Does autonomia360 replace my accountant?
For the everyday work of a freelancer under direct assessment, yes: calculation, review and filing by a certified tax advisor are included. For complex situations (employment matters, inheritances, companies) we'll tell you honestly that you need specific advice.
Who answers if there's a mistake in my forms?
Your forms are reviewed and filed by a certified tax advisor, and the whole trail (statuses, receipts) stays on the platform. If the Spanish Tax Agency (AEAT) asks, the documentation is in order and within reach — not in somebody else's filing cabinet.
Can I keep my accountant and use the platform?
Yes. Export ledgers, forms and reports and share them with whoever you like. Plenty of freelancers combine the two.
Where does the €30–100/month range come from?
It's the usual range in the Spanish market for freelancers, depending on the services you take on and the city; we check it regularly against the fees published by online and local firms. Your case may differ — which is why we present it as indicative.
Which plan do I need for the advisor to file for me?
The Pro plan (€30/month): it includes filing with review by a certified tax advisor, the usual forms (130, 303, 115, 180, 347, 349 and 390), and handling information requests. Básico (€15) calculates Form 303 (VAT return), Form 130 (income-tax instalment) and the ledgers; you file them yourself.
Will I be able to talk to a real person?
Yes. Tax questions to your advisor from the platform, phone (Premium) and WhatsApp (from Pro) depending on the plan, with response times of 3–5, 2–3 and 1–2 working days depending on the plan.
How do I get my paperwork to them?
There's no 'sending paperwork': take a photo or upload the PDF and OCR records and categorises it. Your advisor sees the data directly on the platform, with no email attachments.
What about registering as a freelancer?
We handle it for free, like many accountancy firms. If you're not registered yet, this is the best moment to compare the two options.
What happens if I get an information request?
From the Pro plan your certified tax advisor deals with it, with the advantage that all the documentation (invoices, receipts, forms) is already in order on the platform.
Is there a minimum contract with autonomia360?
No. The plans (€15, €30 and €70/month excluding VAT) are monthly: change plan or cancel whenever you like, and paying annually gets you a discount.
